Montessori

"Help me to do it myself. Show me how it's done.
Don't do it for me. I can and want to do it alone.
Have patience to understand my ways.
They may be longer, they may need more time, because I want to make several attempts.
Allow me to make mistakes and struggle, because that's how I can learn."

Maria Montessori

The school's philosophy is to strengthen children's individual abilities and promote their continuous development. We place special emphasis on fostering personal responsibility and independence.

Regular instruction takes place in multi-age classes and follows the principles of Montessori pedagogy. The school subjects German, Mathematics, General Studies, and Art are taught through independent work, with classroom teachers supported by a second instructor. The pedagogical concept and regular instruction at Lauder-Morijah School are based entirely on the guidelines and curricula of North Rhine-Westphalia.
